Croc: "Mummy can we take this box home and paint it and make a car"

Me: "OK!"

Croc "¿Podemos llevar esta caja de cartón a casa, pintarla y hacer un cochee??"

Yo: Si!

First we covered it in white paper so we could paint it easier.
Primero la pintamos con papel blanco para poder pintarla fácilmente.

From another cardboard box we had hanging around we cut out some wheels, we used a dinner plate as a template, painted them black and put a circle of cooking foil.

De otra caja recortamos unas ruedas usando un plato como patrón, las pintamos en negro y  les pusimos unas estupendas llantas de papel albal.

Croc painted the car (and his hands and the wall also!).  Boo added the final touch sticking on some stars.

Croc pintó el coche (y sus manos y la pared también). Boo añadió los toques finales pegando algunas estrellas.

Big Beach Art - Ruldolf! Reno, en la playa

Saturday was a beautiful sunny winters day, a walk down by the beach was what was on the agenda for the afternoon (and ice cream for Daddy Croc and Boo).  I love to comb the beach in the winter, its full of lots of interesting things that have been washed up in the storms.  Its mostly drift wood but of all different species, shapes and sizes.
El sábado fue un hermoso día soleados de invierno, un paseo por la playa era lo que estaba en la agenda de la tarde (y helado de Daddy Croc y Boo). Me encanta caminar por la playa en el invierno mirando las  cosas interesantes que han sido arrastrados por las tormentas. En su mayoría madera a la deriva, de todas las especies, formas y tamaños

Cardboard Rocket- Cohete de cartón

Today we´ve made a rocket from a big cardboard box.
Hoy hemos hecho un Cohete de una caja enorme de cartón.

The 26th challenge for the hands on play challenge was to use a cardboard box (or two). 
Para el Reto del día, hemos usado unas cajas de cartón además de el ingenio de nenes y papis y la del tío Brokas que estaba de visita en casa

Recycle Play- Juego Reciclando

Half way through the 30 day hands on play challenge, the 15th day is all about rubbish.  Using things from the recycle bin and up-cycling them for lots of imaginative play.

I think this has been the best one yet for us (or me at least!).  More so as I didn´t expect much from it.  When I looked in our recycling bin I found 2 yogurt pots and 2 small mushroom trays, the paper bin only had a few bits of paper and an envelope! 

I wasn´t sure what to do. . .

Reuse- Reutilizar

Id bought a really large roll of brown wrapping paper with the idea of doing a full body painting of Croc, getting him to lie down whilst I drew round him and then let him fill it in (watch this space as will be done one day!), but I got home to find that Roberto´s flip-flops had broken.  I was about to put them in the recycle bin, and changed my mind...
Ruth compró un rollo de papel de embalar con la ida de sacar el perfil de Crocs y luego pintarlo con él. (algún día lo haremos, cuando se quede quieto el suficiente tiempo para pasar el lapiz a su alrededor). Luego se encontró con la tragedia de mis chanclas rotas, las iba a tirar al contenedor de plástico cuando se le ocurrió otro uso...

He started by squirting the paint onto the bottom of the flip-flop and then squished it into the paper.
Croc puso unos buenos chorretones de pintura en la suela de la chancla y luego pisó con ellas en el papel de embalar:

 He went back to squirting
