A cardboard car!

El coche de carton!

Croc: "Mummy can we take this box home and paint it and make a car"

Me: "OK!"

Yo: Si!

First we covered it in white paper so we could paint it easier.

From another cardboard box we had hanging around we cut out some wheels, we used a dinner plate as a template, painted them black and put a circle of cooking foil.

Croc painted the car (and his hands and the wall also!).  Boo added the final touch sticking on some stars.

Beep Beep off we go!
Allá Vamos!

A map for Father Christmas- Mapa para Papa Noel

So as mentioned we aren´t going to be at home for Christmas this time and with Croc not being able to write yet we decided it might be wisest and easiest  to send Father Christmas a map to Nana´s house.

Today we´ve made a rocket from a big cardboard box.

The 26th challenge for the hands on play challenge was to use a cardboard box (or two).

Recycle Play- Juego Reciclando

Half way through the 30 day hands on play challenge, the 15th day is all about rubbish.  Using things from the recycle bin and up-cycling them for lots of imaginative play.

I think this has been the best one yet for us (or me at least!).  More so as I didn´t expect much from it.  When I looked in our recycling bin I found 2 yogurt pots and 2 small mushroom trays, the paper bin only had a few bits of paper and an envelope!

I wasn´t sure what to do. . .

Hand Print Spiders

As we´ve been away over the last week Ive not got round to doing any Halloween type craft with the kids.  With it now being over and done with I didnt want to do a Pumpkin craft, so I thought these spider print hands would be perfect.  Also as we´re all still tired and these are so quick and easy to do!

First draw round each hand, (something that kids love to do)

Croc concentrated so hard on drawing round his hand!

Whilst I concentratde hard on getting Boo to keep still!

Colour and cut (cutting off thumb as well.) Then stick the two hands together and glue on wiggly eyes.  (Or just draw some on)

Punch a hole thorugh the top and hang with string!

Baby painting

Around dinner time the table usually ends up looking something like this...

I dont like the idea of her painting with real paint just yet (you should see her on the beach, half of it ends up in her mouth!!), but as I was watching her playing with the remainders of the yogurt I starting to think that this could be the perfect solution to starting some baby art.
I tried to be a bit more organised and covered the table with some white construction paper and then covered that with cling film.  I sat Boo in her high chair and spooned out some yogurt for her to get going.

I then added in some chocolate paste for colour, she loved running it through her hands, tasting it and swirling it around.

Then she started to smack her hand down on the table and the yogurt chocolate mix went flying everywhere, she loved this and spent ages doing it.
