Challenge catch up - Days 13 & 14 - Volcanes y El Pez ArcoIris

We´d not been able to keep up with the 30 day Hands On Play Challenge over the last couple of days.  We have still been doing a play activity for a minimum of 15 minutes a day, in fact yesterday we repeated Day 10 Explosions making them into playdough volcanoes!
No habíamos sido capaces de mantenernos  al día con el reto de 30 días de Hands on Play en el último par de días. Sin embargo, hemos estado haciendo una actividad de juego por un mínimo de 15 minutos al día, de hecho, ayer se repitieron  10 explosiones  en volcanes de plastilina!

Today we´ve done a combined activity for the last two days.  The 13th challenge came from Anna @ The Imagination Tree, a sticky art project, and the 14th from Jaime @ Hands On: as we play retelling a story.

We previously did a story map as I had named it and so wondered how I could put a new spin on it.
Then I thought  The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister would be perfect!

Hoy hemos hecho una actividad combinada de los dos últimos días. El reto 13 vino de Anna @ Imagination Tree, un proyecto de arte pegajoso, y el 14 de Jaime @Hands on Play Manos a la obra: a medida que jugamos re-contamos un cuento.

Anteriormente hemos hecho un mapa de la historia, como lo habíamos llamados y me preguntaba cómo podía darle un giro nuevo a la historia. Entonces pensé que "El pez arco iris" de Marcus Pfister sería perfecto!

I printed a large fish template and five small ones and laid them out on the table with some coloured paper, tin foil and coloured crayons, and of course the book.

First we read the story again together.

Then we  made a collage rainbow fish using the paper and colours on the table. We coloured each small fish a plain blue.  I then sellotaped a straw to the back of each fish.

Primero imprimí un modelo de pez grande y cinco pequeños. Los pusimos en la mesa con papel de colores, papel albal y ceras de colores. Todo ello al ladito del libro. Empezamos leyendo la historia juntos.
Depués hicimos un pez Arco Iris de collage usando los papeles de colores, las ceras y el papel albal. Los pececillos pequeños los pintamos de azul, más humildes ellos. Entonces los montamos en pajitas de plástico para poder moverlos.

We all took a fish and re-enacted the story together with Croc holding the rainbow fish and giving us all a very shiny scale.
Cada uno cogió uno de los pececillos y re- construimos la historia, con Croc dándonos a cada una escama plateada.

Asking the Octopus for help

The whole project lasted an hour and we now have the fish to re-tell time and again.

Pidiendo ayuda al Pulpo más sabio del fondo del mar.

Ahora tenemos los personajes para contar y contar la historia una y otra vez.
